Skitmaker Remote Reveals Why He Married His Wife Early

Nigerian skitmaker Remote has opened up about his decision to get married early, sharing that the loss of his mother played a significant role in shaping his choice.

Speaking in an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Remote revealed that he tied the knot in 2020 after dating his wife for four years, beginning their relationship in 2016.

According to him, his wife had been more than a partner—she filled the emotional void left by his mother’s absence.

“I got married 20… 2020 to 2021. Why? The reason is that I don’t have a mother. So I was alone. I’ve been dating my wife since 2016. This girl is doing like a mother to me, she’s always been there, supporting me. She once gave me N1000 when I had nothing, and I almost cried. She’s the only one that can cope with me,” Remote said.

The skitmaker described his wife as his backbone, someone who stood by him in his lowest moments and gave him strength to carry on.

Opinion: Remote’s Story is a Testament to Love’s True Value

In a world where many relationships are built on glamour, wealth, and fleeting attraction, Remote’s story is a refreshing reminder of what true love looks like. It is not about grand gestures or material possessions but about showing up for each other when life is at its hardest.

His wife’s simple act of giving him N1000—a small sum to some—became a powerful symbol of loyalty and sacrifice. For Remote, it wasn’t about the money but the reassurance that someone believed in him even when he had little to give. That kind of bond explains why he chose to settle down early.

Marriage, at its core, is about partnership, and Remote’s testimony proves that the right partner doesn’t just share your success—they walk with you through the struggle. His story is both inspiring and heartwarming, showing young people that true love is not about perfection, but about finding someone who can “cope with you,” flaws and all.
