Mo Bimpe Claps Back at Troll Who Mocked Her Over Childbearing, Urges Fans to Focus on Her Movie

Mo Bimpe Claps Back at Troll Who Mocked Her Over Childbearing, Urges Fans to Focus on Her Movie

Nollywood actress Mo Bimpe has responded with grace and resilience after a social media troll mocked her over childbearing while she was promoting her new movie, My Miracle.

The actress premiered the film on her YouTube channel, MobimpeTV, on Sunday, but instead of celebrating her project, one Instagram user took the opportunity to hurl vile remarks about her womb and womanhood.

In a shocking series of comments, the troll accused Mo Bimpe of being “barren” and “wombless,” even declaring that the “world would end the day she gives birth.”

The insults didn’t stop there. In another post, the same user argued that her true “miracle” should be childbirth, dismissing her success as meaningless without children.

However, in a twist that exposed the hollowness of online hate, Mo Bimpe revealed that the very same person who insulted her in public had quietly slid into her direct messages, begging for financial help. She shared screenshots of the messages, highlighting the troll’s hypocrisy.

Unbothered, the actress laughed off the attacks, reminding her fans that such people are “sad, frustrated, and insecure” and should not be given unnecessary attention. She encouraged her supporters to ignore the negativity and focus instead on her new movie.

She wrote:
“Trolls are sad, frustrated, unloved, poor, and insecure. They have low self-esteem and crave attention. I love to keep them so they can continue to choke on my happiness… Because over here, na joy only.”

Opinion:

Mo Bimpe’s reaction is a powerful reminder of the world we live in today, where social media has become both a stage for celebration and a battleground of cruelty. The hypocrisy of someone publicly tearing her down while privately begging for help speaks volumes about the emptiness behind most online trolling.

Her choice to rise above the hate — and even find humor in it — is not just admirable, it’s instructive. It shows that happiness and fulfillment are not defined by the timelines of others but by one’s own journey.

For women, especially in Nigeria where societal pressure around marriage and childbearing is heavy, Mo Bimpe’s calm clap-back is more than a defense; it’s a statement. A woman’s worth is not tied to her womb, and success should never be diminished because of societal expectations.

At the end of the day, My Miracle is not just the title of her film — it’s also a reflection of her attitude: choosing joy, focusing on purpose, and letting light drown out bitterness.
