UEFA Unveils Champions League Team of the Season as PSG and Arsenal Dominate Selections
UEFA has officially announced its 2025/26 UEFA Champions League Team of the Season, with champions Paris Saint-Germain and runners-up Arsenal dominating the final lineup.
The selection was made by the UEFA Technical Observer Group following the conclusion of the Champions League campaign, which ended with PSG defeating Arsenal on penalties after a 1-1 draw in Saturday's final in Budapest.
Unsurprisingly, PSG's successful title defence was reflected in the number of players included, with five members of the French club making the prestigious XI. Arsenal, despite their final heartbreak, were rewarded with three selections after an impressive run to the final.

PSG's Dominance Rewarded
The inclusion of Marquinhos, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, Kvaratskhelia, and Dembele highlights PSG's remarkable consistency throughout the competition. Their performances were instrumental in the club's successful defence of the Champions League title and UEFA's observers clearly viewed them as among the tournament's standout performers.
Arsenal's representation through Raya, Gabriel, and Rice also reflects the club's impressive campaign, despite falling short in the final.
Opinion: A Team That Tells the Story of the Tournament
The Team of the Season often serves as a snapshot of how a competition unfolded, and this year's selection does exactly that.
PSG's five representatives underline their status as Europe's best team this season. Vitinha controlled games from midfield, Kvaratskhelia delivered decisive moments in attack, while Dembele once again proved influential on the biggest stage.
Arsenal's three selections are equally deserved. Raya was one of the tournament's most reliable goalkeepers, Rice produced several commanding midfield displays, and Gabriel helped anchor one of the competition's strongest defences.
Perhaps the most notable inclusion outside the finalists is Harry Kane. Despite Bayern Munich's elimination before the final, the England captain's goalscoring exploits made his selection almost impossible to ignore.
As with every Team of the Season, there will be debates over who was left out. However, the final XI largely reflects the players who consistently delivered when the stakes were highest. More than anything, it serves as recognition for a Champions League campaign that belonged primarily to PSG, but also showcased the quality of stars from across Europe's elite clubs.
