AC Milan Appoint Ruben Amorim as New Head Coach After Manchester United Exit

AC Milan have officially confirmed the appointment of Ruben Amorim as their new manager, with the Portuguese coach taking over at the San Siro.

Amorim has been without a club since leaving Manchester United in January after being dismissed from his position, but he has now secured a return to management with one of Europe’s biggest football institutions.

The 39-year-old replaces Max Allegri and begins a new chapter in his coaching career as Milan look to build a competitive team capable of challenging at the highest level.

Following the announcement, Amorim expressed his excitement about taking charge of the Italian giants, describing the opportunity as a long-term ambition.

“There are ambitions that accompany you throughout your career and, for me, coaching Milan has always been one of them,” Amorim said.

“I know perfectly well what AC Milan represents: history, prestige and extraordinary fans all over the world. It is a challenge that I face with pride and enthusiasm, with full awareness of what these colours mean.”

The Portuguese manager added that he was eager to experience the passion surrounding the club.

“I can’t wait to start and live every day the passion that animates Milan,” he said.

Amorim arrives with a reputation for modern tactics, strong team organisation, and developing young talent, qualities that made him highly regarded during his time in Portugal.

His appointment represents a fresh direction for Milan, who will be hoping the former Manchester United boss can restore consistency and return the club to the top of Italian and European football.

The pressure will be high, but Amorim’s arrival has also created excitement among supporters eager to see a new era begin at the historic club.
