Portable Challenges Terry G to Celebrity Boxing Match, Says He Wants to “Revive” His Career

Controversial Nigerian street-hop singer Portable has once again stirred conversation after publicly challenging veteran musician Terry G to a celebrity boxing bout.

Speaking during an appearance on Channels Television's Rubbin’ Minds on Sunday, Portable wasted no time naming Terry G when asked which celebrity he would most like to face in the ring.

Despite being prompted about the possibility of fighting social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM), the singer remained firm in his choice.

“It’s Terry G that I want to fight. I will beat him. I want to resurrect his career. If Terry G fights me one-on-one in boxing, I swear people will remember him again,” Portable declared.

The challenge has quickly sparked reactions online, with many fans expressing surprise that Portable singled out one of Nigeria’s most influential street music pioneers.

Portable is no stranger to celebrity boxing. Over the past two years, he has turned the ring into an extension of his entertainment brand, facing personalities such as actor Charles Okocha, singer Speed Darlington, and comedian Carter Efe.
