Nigeria's Flying Eagles have secured a place in the final of the WAFU B U-20 Championship after defeating hosts Côte d'Ivoire 4-3 on penalties following a thrilling 2-2 draw after extra time.

Goalkeeper Lawani Clinton emerged as the hero of the night, producing two crucial saves in the penalty shootout to send Aliyu Zubairu's side into the championship decider.

The hosts started the semi-final brightly and deservedly took the lead in the 18th minute after dominating the early stages of the contest.
