Wande Coal has released a new album, King Coal.
Not a debut, not a comeback, and not an anniversary. Just a record, from an artist who has been making them since before most of today's Afrobeats audience was listening.

Because Wande Coal is the artist Nigerian artists cite. His vocal approach, his melodic phrasing and his early work with Mo'Hits shaped a great deal of what became the default sound of Afrobeats, and he has never had the commercial scale that his influence would suggest.
