The 63-year-old actor revealed his Urhobo identity when addressing at the recent inauguration of the Council of Chiefs Minnesota (CCM) in the United States.
Veteran Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo, often known as RMD, has spoken on the essence of his cultural identity.
The 63-year-old actor revealed his Urhobo identity when addressing at the recent inauguration of the Council of Chiefs Minnesota (CCM) in the United States.
RMD indicated that his cultural identity is defined by his language, clothes, and traditions, rather than material belongings or physical characteristics.
He stated, "For me as an Urhobo guy, what defines me is not my bank account or how tall I am, but the language I speak and the clothes I wear — the way I dress as an Urhobo man, it is the food I eat as an Urhobo man.”
