Drama in Abuja: Married Man Beaten and His Car Destroyed by Side Chick After Refusing to Sleep Over
It was drama and chaos on Sunday night in an Abuja compound after a heated confrontation between a married man and his alleged side chick turned violent, leaving the man battered and his car badly damaged.
According to eyewitness, Dominic Rita, who shared details of the incident on social media, the fight began when the man refused to spend the night at the apartment he reportedly rented for the lady.
“This one happened in my compound,” Rita wrote. “The man rented the house for his side chick. They started fighting when he refused to sleep over. The lady picked a turning stick, locked him inside, and went outside to smash his car windows.”
She added that the commotion attracted the attention of neighbours, prompting the landlord to intervene. “We called the landlord to come because they locked someone inside. When he arrived, he broke the door to free the man. The man came out explaining that he’s married and that the girl knew, but she got angry when he said he wouldn’t stay the night.”
The aftermath was messy — the man reportedly suffered facial bruises and minor bleeding, while his car windows were shattered beyond repair.
Opinion: When Side Affairs Turn Sour — A Lesson on Consequences
Beyond the humor and shock this story may evoke, it underscores a deeper societal issue — the dangerous trend of infidelity and the emotional chaos it brings.
It’s one thing to cheat, but it’s another to underestimate the storm that follows when deceit collides with possessiveness. The married man’s decision to maintain a double life clearly backfired, and while violence is never justified, this incident exposes how messy and destructive extramarital affairs can get.
For many, it’s a cautionary tale — what happens in secrecy doesn’t always stay secret. In an age where everything can go viral, actions that betray trust often end not just in heartbreak, but in humiliation and broken glass.
Perhaps the biggest question, as Rita rightly asked, remains: “What will he tell his wife when he gets home?”
