Manchester United Set £40M Price Tag for Rasmus Højlund Amid Summer Exit Talks

Manchester United Set £40M Price Tag for Rasmus Højlund Amid Summer Exit Talks

Manchester United have reportedly decided to sell Danish striker Rasmus Højlund during the current summer transfer window, setting an asking price of £40 million.

According to transfer insider Jacobs Ben, the valuation marks a £10 million increase from the earlier estimate of £30 million, reflecting United’s stance on profiting from the potential move. Despite the club’s active pursuit of a transfer, Højlund is said to be keen on staying at Old Trafford and fighting for his place in the squad.

Interest in the 21-year-old has emerged from RB Leipzig, as well as clubs in Serie A and Saudi Arabia.

This comes amid reports that RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Šeško is close to joining the Red Devils — a move that could push Højlund further down the pecking order. Former United defender Mikaël Silvestre had recently advised new manager Rúben Amorim against rushing to offload the young striker, suggesting a loan deal may be more beneficial than a permanent exit.

Chelsea’s Lola Brown Joins Crystal Palace on Loan

In a related transfer update, Chelsea Women have confirmed that Lola Brown, one of their most promising young talents, has joined Crystal Palace Women on a season-long loan.

Brown, 17, signed her first professional contract with Chelsea following an impressive campaign where she was voted the Women’s Academy U18 Player of the Year for 2023/24. Having joined the Blues during the 2019/2020 season, she rose through the youth ranks and now looks set for regular senior football with the Eagles.
