Iyabo Ojo Breaks Silence on Lizzy Anjorin’s Curses, Says “Who God Has Blessed, No One Can Curse”

Iyabo Ojo Breaks Silence on Lizzy Anjorin’s Curses, Says “Who God Has Blessed, No One Can Curse”

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has finally addressed her ongoing rift with fellow actress Lizzy Anjorin, who has repeatedly hurled insults, curses, and even death wishes at her family, including her grandson, Rakeem Mkambala.

In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Iyabo explained that she has chosen to remain silent—not because she is weak, but because she is determined to stay focused on what matters most.

“Honestly, I haven't laughed this hard in a while. These videos cracked me up real good… On a more serious note, I’ve seen all your messages, DMs, voice notes, and questions about my silent approach to the defamatory statements, insults, death wishes, and curses Liz Anjorin has been directing at my family, especially those targeting my grandson. Honestly, most times, I struggle to hold my peace… but I have to ignore the distractions. Who God has blessed, no one can curse.”

Iyabo revealed that her legal team is documenting every detail and will take the necessary steps when the time is right. For now, her focus has been on welcoming her grandson, supporting her daughter in her new journey as a mother, and protecting her family spiritually and emotionally.

She added that once she returns to Lagos, she will address the situation head-on, stressing that “silence can be powerful.”

Opinion: Silence as Strength in the Face of Provocation

In a world where clapping back is often the loudest response, Iyabo Ojo’s decision to embrace silence is both refreshing and powerful. By choosing to prioritize her family and lean on her legal team rather than engage in a messy back-and-forth, she sets an example of maturity that many can learn from.

This doesn’t mean she is ignoring the issue or pretending it doesn’t hurt—her statement makes it clear that she has struggled to hold her peace. But her restraint shows that sometimes, silence is not weakness; it is wisdom.

Public spats in Nollywood often draw attention for the wrong reasons, but Iyabo’s approach reminds us that dignity, timing, and faith can be louder than insults. In her words, “Who God has blessed, no one can curse.” That alone is a message of reassurance not only to her fans but also to anyone enduring undeserved attacks.

Perhaps the real victory here is showing that peace of mind, family love, and divine confidence are far more powerful than any curse.
