De9jaspirit Talent Hunt Season 4: Africa’s Biggest Talent Show Returns with Bigger Dreams and Bigger Rewards
After months of anticipation, the wait is over—De9jaspirit Talent Hunt (DTH) is back with its fourth season, and it promises to be the most spectacular yet. Having just completed its first-ever campus tour, DTH has once again raised the bar for talent shows in Africa, introducing groundbreaking changes that make the stage more inclusive and rewarding for contestants and subscribers alike.
Since its debut in 2021, DTH has grown into a continental powerhouse. From Konstance’s Season 1 breakthrough that launched her into Afrobeats, to Ugee Royalty’s gospel success in Season 2, and the unforgettable Exoduz Dance Crew’s triumph in Season 3, the show has consistently produced stars who carry African creativity to the world stage.
This year, DTH took a bold step: instead of paid registrations, the Campus Tour gave students from universities across Nigeria—including UNIPORT, UNIBEN, UNILAG, UNIABUJA, and IMT Enugu—the chance to showcase their skills for free. Contestants only needed to post a one-minute performance online and tag DTH. The best were then invited to live auditions on their campuses, ensuring that no talent was left behind because of financial barriers.
From this initiative, 22 extraordinary contestants emerged—singers, dancers, comedians, poets, magicians, and even a contortionist—each representing the incredible diversity of African talent. The competition is fierce:
Vocalists like Chris Vic, Glory Henry, and BigSøma are set to battle with their powerful voices.
Spoken word artists such as The Global Poet and Loveth Liberty will tug at hearts with their words.
Comedians Da Messenger and MC Olaks will keep audiences in stitches.
Dance crews including Kidsteppers and The Elite Kings will electrify the stage.
And with acts like Body Engine the contortionist and Jeremiah Fjsax on the saxophone, Season 4 promises a show unlike any before.
At stake is a record-breaking ₦30 million grand prize, with ₦7 million and ₦3 million for the runners-up, plus ₦500,000 weekly rewards for standout performers.
Guiding this journey is a star-studded judging panel: Liquorose, Vector, Ini Edo, and IK Ogbonna, with the ever-charismatic VJ Adams as host. For 10 thrilling weeks—from September 7 to November 9, 2025—viewers will follow the drama, sweat, and triumph across Soundcity TV, Africa Magic Family, and the DTH app.
Opinion
What sets Season 4 apart is not just the bigger prizes, but the boldness of its vision. By removing registration fees and taking the hunt to university campuses, DTH has democratized opportunity in a way few talent shows have dared. It’s no longer just about entertainment—it’s about access, empowerment, and giving every dream a fair shot.
The contestants themselves mirror Africa’s heartbeat: raw, diverse, unapologetically creative. From gospel voices to acrobatic dance crews, from thought-provoking poets to mind-bending magicians, Season 4 embodies the richness of African youth and the power of imagination.
Beyond the stage, DTH continues to prove that talent is not bound by background, privilege, or geography. It is bound only by courage, opportunity, and a platform big enough to showcase it—and this season, the stage is bigger than ever.
For viewers, Season 4 isn’t just a show; it’s a celebration of Africa’s endless creativity, a reminder that the next global star could be just one performance away.
