“Ability in Disability”: Jigan Babaoja Celebrates New House As Colleagues Applaud His Success Story

Yoruba Nollywood actor and comedian Jigan Babaoja has received an outpouring of congratulations from colleagues and fans after announcing the acquisition of a new house.

The actor shared the exciting news on his Instagram page with a picture of himself standing in his new home, accompanied by the powerful caption, “Ability in disability,” a phrase that reflects his journey of overcoming challenges and achieving success despite living with a disability.

His announcement attracted reactions from several Nollywood stars who flooded his comment section with congratulatory messages. Actors including Lateef Adedimeji, Yemi Elesho, Cute Abiola, Jumoke Odetola, Kunle Afod, Sunkanmi Omobolanle, Bimbo Oshin, Jide Awobona, Kevin Ikeduba and many others celebrated the achievement.

The celebration has also drawn attention to Jigan’s inspiring personal journey. Over the years, the actor has openly spoken about living with a disability and how it shaped his mindset, career and determination.

Jigan has often used his platform to encourage people living with disabilities, sharing his experiences and advocating for confidence, acceptance and equal opportunities. He previously revealed that he once struggled to understand why he faced challenges but later came to see his condition as part of his purpose.

In one of his reflections, the actor said he realised that if he had not experienced disability, his life might have taken a different path and he may not have achieved some of the things he has accomplished.

He has also spoken about the difference in how people with disabilities are treated in other countries, particularly during his visit to the United States, where he praised the accessibility and support systems available.

Jigan’s latest achievement comes as more Nigerian entertainers continue to celebrate personal milestones. Earlier, actress Rukayat Lawal unveiled her new home, while skitmaker Carter Efe and actors including Uju Okoli and Itele also celebrated acquiring new properties.

Beyond the excitement of owning a house, Jigan Babaoja’s story represents resilience and determination — a reminder that personal challenges do not have to define the limits of what someone can achieve.
