Trabzonspor Show Interest in Nigerian Striker Rafiu Durosinmi After Pisa Relegation
Turkish club Trabzonspor have expressed interest in Nigerian striker Rafiu Durosinmi as they look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new season.
Durosinmi joined Italian side Pisa from Czech club Viktoria Plzen in January, but the 23-year-old is reportedly considering leaving the club after just six months following Pisa’s relegation from Serie A.
According to reports from Turkey, Trabzonspor have opened discussions with Pisa regarding a possible move for the powerful forward.
The Nigerian striker remains under contract with Pisa until June 2030 and is currently valued at around €7 million, making negotiations a key factor in any potential transfer.
Durosinmi’s physical presence, attacking ability and experience in European football have made him an attractive option for clubs searching for a young forward with room for growth.
Opinion: A move to Trabzonspor could be a positive step for Durosinmi if he is guaranteed regular playing time. At 23, the striker needs consistency to continue developing, and finding the right environment may be more important than simply staying in one of Europe’s top leagues.
