Ifeoma Okoye Breaks Silence as Peter Okoye’s Fresh Allegations Deepen P-Square Family Dispute
Ifeoma Okoye, the wife of music executive Jude Okoye, has publicly addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding the Okoye family, saying she has no intention of defending herself despite being drawn into the dispute.
Her statement comes hours after singer Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, released another episode of his video series detailing his long-running disagreement with his elder brother, Jude Okoye, over the management and ownership of assets linked to the former P-Square group.
In the latest video, Peter alleged that Jude attempted to transfer his ownership rights in one of the group's properties to Ifeoma, claiming he rejected the move after discovering documents bearing her name.
Without mentioning Peter or Jude directly, Ifeoma responded in a statement shared on her official Instagram page, saying she was aware of the allegations circulating about her but had chosen not to engage in a public exchange.
“I have no desire to defend myself before those who are committed to misunderstanding me. Truth does not need manipulation to prevail, and I trust God to vindicate what is right.”
She added that remaining silent should not be interpreted as weakness or fear, explaining that she prefers to leave the matter in God's hands rather than participate in public accusations.
Drawing inspiration from the biblical account of Ananias and Sapphira, Ifeoma stressed that no one can deceive God, describing Him as the ultimate judge who reveals truth and exposes falsehood in His own time.
She concluded her message with a prayer for mercy, healing and reconciliation, asking God to soften hearts, restore damaged relationships and guide everyone involved toward truth, humility and peace.
Her remarks come as public interest in the Okoye family dispute continues to grow, following Peter Okoye's recent series of allegations regarding the management and ownership of P-Square's assets.
As of the time of reporting, Jude Okoye has not publicly responded to Peter's latest claims.
Opinion
The latest developments show that what began as a business disagreement has evolved into a deeply personal family conflict playing out in the public eye. While fans naturally want answers, public exchanges rarely resolve disputes involving family, trust and shared history.
Ifeoma Okoye's decision to issue a measured statement instead of directly addressing the allegations reflects a different approach to the controversy. However, her comments do not resolve the claims made by Peter, and those allegations remain contested.
Ultimately, this remains a family dispute in which multiple perspectives may exist. Until all parties involved respond fully—or the issues are addressed through appropriate legal or private channels—the public can only assess competing accounts. For many longtime P-Square fans, the greatest hope remains that truth, accountability and, if possible, reconciliation will eventually prevail.
