Jennifer Lopez: My divorce almost took my life.

Jennifer Lopez, an American singer and actress, has spoken out about her painful second separation with her ex-husband, Ben Affleck.

The 55-year-old musician recently filed for divorce after only two years of marriage and their second attempt to reconcile after splitting up in 2004.

The pair separated in April, and the singer filed for divorce on August 20, which also marked their two-year wedding anniversary.

Lopez said in the latest issue of Interview Magazine that her divorce nearly took her "out for good," but she did not regret marrying Ben Affleck.

She said she has no regrets: "Not a single second. That isn't to say it didn't nearly kill me. It nearly did.

"But now, on the other side, I'm thinking, 'Fuck, that's exactly what I needed. Thank you, God. I am sorry it took so long. I'm sorry you had to do this to me so often.

"I should've learned it two or three times before. I got it. You had to smack me extremely hard over the head with a fucking sledgehammer. You completely shattered my expectations. "You don't have to do it again."
