“I Came with Light, but They Turned It Off” – BBNaija’s Big Soso Gets Emotional in Diary Session

“I Came with Light, but They Turned It Off” – BBNaija’s Big Soso Gets Emotional in Diary Session

Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Big Soso, has shared her emotional struggles in the house, revealing that the journey so far has been more mentally taxing than she expected.

During an emotional diary session on Sunday, the 28-year-old lawyer opened up to Big Brother, explaining how the once bright flame she carried into the house now feels dimmed by the overwhelming dynamics of the game.

“I came into this house with love and light, but it seems they have turned off the light,” she said softly, her voice tinged with vulnerability.

🌀 The Pressure of Playing the Game and Being Real

Big Soso revealed that while she entered the house full of positivity and self-belief, the challenge of adapting to the clashing personalities, unpredictable relationships, and mental intensity of the show has left her feeling emotionally drained and internally conflicted.

“It’s just a lot of things to swallow, a lot of people to take in at the same time. I’m just fighting with being who I am and adapting to everything going on,” she confessed.
“I’m not going to say I’m completely happy or sad… I don’t know if I’m confused — if there is a word in between that I don’t know, I’m just here and there.”

💬 Opinion – The Unspoken Reality of BBNaija

While Big Brother Naija is widely seen as a platform for fame, strategy, and entertainment, Soso’s honest revelation is a reminder that mental and emotional pressure is real in that house. For contestants like her, it’s not just a game — it’s a battle between authenticity and survival in a world designed to test every layer of identity.

In a space where boldness often overshadows sensitivity, Big Soso’s vulnerability might just be her biggest strength.
