Nicki Minaj Reveals Why She Stopped Attending Church After Music Career Took Off
American rapper Nicki Minaj has opened up about her decision to stop attending church, explaining that the change was caused by the demands of her music career rather than a shift in her faith.
Speaking during a recent episode of The Bryce Crawford Podcast, the award-winning rapper revealed that she stopped going to church after becoming successful because her busy performance schedule left her physically exhausted.
According to Minaj, working late on Fridays and Saturdays made it difficult for her to wake up early on Sundays for church services.
“Once my career started taking off, I stopped going to church. I was working on Friday nights and Saturday nights, so the last thing I could do was wake up on Sunday mornings to go to church,” she said.
The rapper clarified that her decision was not based on a change in her beliefs, adding that she still maintains a strong relationship with God.
Minaj admitted, however, that staying consistent in her spiritual journey has been challenging, but she continues to work on improving herself.
She explained that her faith continues to grow as she matures and develops spiritually.
The revelation has sparked conversations among fans about the different ways people maintain their faith while balancing demanding careers and personal responsibilities.
For Minaj, stepping away from regular church attendance does not mean stepping away from spirituality, as she continues to describe her relationship with God as an important part of her life.
