Chelsea Confirm Jimmy-Jay Morgan Transfer As Forward Joins West Bromwich Albion

Chelsea have announced that forward Jimmy-Jay Morgan has completed a permanent transfer to Championship club West Bromwich Albion.

The Premier League side confirmed the deal in a statement on Thursday, thanking the young attacker for his contribution and wishing him success in the next stage of his career.

Morgan, 20, began his football journey in Chelsea’s academy before returning to the west London club from Southampton in February 2023.

During his time away from Stamford Bridge, the forward gained valuable experience through loan spells. He spent the second half of the 2024/25 season at League Two side Gillingham, where he scored two goals in 16 appearances.

He later joined Peterborough United for the latest campaign and enjoyed a more productive spell, scoring 14 goals in 39 matches across all competitions as the club finished 18th in League One.

Chelsea praised Morgan’s development and confirmed their best wishes as he begins a new chapter with West Brom.

“Everybody at Chelsea wishes Jimmy-Jay the best of luck as he embarks on a new chapter in his career,” the club said.

The move represents another step in Morgan’s career as he looks to establish himself at senior level after progressing through some of English football’s top development systems.
