Francis Duru Denies Terminal Illness Rumours, Reassures Fans Over Viral Health Report

Veteran Nollywood actor Francis Duru has dismissed reports claiming that he is battling a terminal illness, insisting that the viral claims about his health are false.

The rumours spread after a video showing the actor looking frail circulated online, leading to concerns among fans, colleagues and followers who questioned his wellbeing.

Reacting to the reports in a video shared on his Instagram page, Francis Duru thanked his supporters for their prayers and explained that he has never been as sick as the viral report suggested.

“My dear fans, greetings to you all. Thank you all for always being there for me with your prayers and your wishes,” he said.

“I have never been that sick and would never be that sick. And by God’s grace, I will keep being stronger and stronger.”

The actor described the report as misleading and accused those behind the spread of the video of creating negativity for attention.

“That video is the handwork of the merchants of darkness, wickedness, those who sit and concoct negativity for people,” he added.

However, while his clarification relieved some fans, others still expressed concern about his appearance in the video, particularly his noticeable weight loss and physical look.

Several followers took to the comment section to offer prayers and encouragement, with some saying they hoped he remained healthy and strong.

The incident has once again highlighted how quickly health rumours can spread about public figures, especially when old or unclear videos circulate without context.
