Nkechi Blessing Takes First Lady’s Advice, Launches Akara and Corn Business

Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has taken a practical step after advice from Nigeria’s First Lady, Remi Tinubu, by venturing into the food business.

The actress recently announced that she has started selling akara and roasted corn, sharing a flyer promoting her new food venture on social media.

According to her post, her akara is available for ₦100 while roasted corn goes for ₦200. She also encouraged members of the public to support her business.

“Patronise my business, make hunger no finish me and my Family,” she wrote.

The move follows comments by the First Lady, Remi Tinubu, who advised struggling Nigerians to consider small-scale businesses such as akara, roasted corn and kuli-kuli, describing them as businesses that require little capital to start.

The actress’ latest move has attracted attention because it comes shortly after she celebrated a major personal milestone with the acquisition of a Mercedes-Benz GLE53.

Nkechi has previously spoken about challenges in her career, including difficulties around producing films and protecting her brand, while also expressing gratitude for her achievements.
