Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) side Bayelsa Queens have officially appointed Wemimo Mathew as their new head coach ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Mathew takes over from Whyte Ogbonda, who left the Prosperity Girls at the end of last season after guiding the club through a competitive campaign.
