“He Died at the Hospital Reception” – Nollywood Actor Kunle Afod Mourns Sudden Death of Friend Odunayo Oloto

“He Died at the Hospital Reception” – Nollywood Actor Kunle Afod Mourns Sudden Death of Friend Odunayo Oloto

Nollywood actor Kunle Afod is mourning the shocking and sudden death of his close friend, Odunayo Olufemi Oloto, who tragically passed away shortly after seeking medical attention during a church service.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Kunle shared that Oloto had begun to feel slightly unwell during a Sunday church gathering and decided to visit a hospital directly opposite the church for a quick check-up. However, tragedy struck moments later.

“He walked into the hospital himself,” Afod recounted.
“But sadly, he passed away right there at the reception before he could be attended to.”

🕊️ A Painful Loss

The news has sent waves of grief through Kunle Afod’s fan base and the Nollywood community, many of whom flooded the comment section of his post with prayers and condolences.

Though the exact cause of death is yet to be confirmed, the situation raises concerns about the timeliness and responsiveness of emergency care in Nigeria — especially in cases where people walk in with seemingly mild symptoms, only for things to turn fatal within minutes.

💬 Opinion – Life is Truly a Vapor

This story is a painful reminder of the fragility of life. Odunayo Oloto didn’t collapse on the road, nor was he carried into the hospital. He walked in himself, trusting he’d get help, but never made it out.

In an age where many dismiss health symptoms or delay check-ups, his story encourages all of us to take our health seriously and also reflects on the urgency for better, faster emergency care systems in local hospitals.

May his soul rest in peace.
