Remo Stars Sign Malian Striker Adama Goïta on Two-Year Deal
Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions, Remo Stars, have officially secured the signing of Mali international Adama Goïta, TalkTalk Nigeria reports.
The 21-year-old forward joins the Sky Blue Stars on a two-year deal from Malian side AS Bakary Djan, where he had a standout season, netting 14 goals across all competitions.
Goïta is expected to arrive in Nigeria this week to finalize the move and undergo medicals before linking up with his new teammates in Ikenne.
⚽ A New Era in Attack
Goïta’s arrival comes as a direct replacement for Sikiru Alimi, the club’s former talisman, who recently exited after the expiration of his contract. With Remo Stars gearing up to defend their NPFL title and make a mark in continental competitions, Goïta’s signing reflects ambition and intent.
💭 Opinion – A Smart and Strategic Signing
Bringing in a young, prolific striker like Goïta could prove to be a masterstroke for Remo Stars. With 14 goals to his name last season, the Malian is expected to inject pace, hunger, and finishing power into the squad. If he settles quickly, he could be one of the breakout stars of the 2025/26 NPFL season.
