Kano Pillars beat Doma United 4-1 at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday, ending Doma's perfect start after three straight wins. Ahmed Musa was voted man of the match by the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria. In Aba, Inter Lagos beat Enyimba 1-0 through Ezekiel Moses on 18 minutes, their first win in the NPFL, leaving Enyimba bottom.
Doma's run lasted exactly as long as their home fixtures
A week ago this site wrote that Doma United's perfect start was largely a table of who had played at home, and that the run would be tested by a trip. The trip was to Kano. They lost by three.

He is a former Super Eagles captain, a two-time World Cup scorer for Nigeria, and he is being named man of the match in Kano on a Sunday afternoon in front of a domestic crowd. The NPFL has almost no assets of that profile. What it does with him, in terms of broadcast, promotion and getting people through turnstiles, is a test the league has repeatedly failed.
