Young Jonn has released Let It Go, a single built up through a steady teasing campaign on TikTok and Instagram. It is part of the rollout for a tape scheduled for Friday 25 September. He records for Chocolate City.
The producer who became the artist
Young Jonn spent years making other people's hits before stepping in front of the microphone, which is a harder transition than it looks. Producers know exactly what a hit sounds like and frequently cannot sell one themselves, because the job in front is about personality rather than construction. He is one of the few in Nigerian music who has managed both.

Whether the tape holds together as a body of work or is a container for the two songs that were tested. Both are legitimate and only one lasts, and Young Jonn has enough craft behind him to make the first one if he wants to.
