Kingue Explains Why He Chose Remo Stars

Kingue Explains Why He Chose Remo Stars

Cameroon midfielder Edimo Kingue Franck Alanne has revealed the reasons behind his decision to join reigning Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions Remo Stars.

Speaking to the club’s media, Kingue said the clear project, quality infrastructure, and strong fan support at the Ikenne-based club convinced him to make the move.

“The project and the infrastructure, joined with the fans’ support, was the reason I joined Remo Stars,” Kingue stated.

The midfielder joined the Sky Blue Stars as a free agent after his stint in the Egyptian league with Al Ittihad Alexandria. He is expected to make his debut for Remo Stars in their matchday 22 NPFL clash against Kun Khalifat FC in Ikenne on Monday.

Opinion: Remo Stars’ Project Is Speaking Loudly

Kingue’s comments once again underline how far Remo Stars have come as a club. In a league where players often move primarily for financial reasons, the Cameroonian’s emphasis on structure, vision, and infrastructure is a strong endorsement of the Ikenne project.

For the NPFL champions, attracting players with international experience from leagues like Egypt shows growing ambition beyond domestic success. It also sends a message to other clubs: modern facilities, long-term planning, and fan engagement matter.

If Kingue settles quickly and delivers on the pitch, his signing could prove to be another smart piece of recruitment as Remo Stars look to defend their title and strengthen their reputation as one of Nigeria’s most professionally run clubs.
